MTG Arena Artisan Deck: Eutropia Constellation

The Festival: Fires of Purphoros event is running February 22nd - 25th. I wanted to share one of my favorite decks for the event.

This deck is a simic constellation deck with Eutropia the Twice-Favored as the key card. Eutropia adds a +1/+1 counter and grants flying to a creature each time you play an enchantment. Naturally, the rest of the deck is packed with enchantments and other constellation effects.

Shimmerwing Chimera is another key card in the deck. It may bounce an enchantment you control at the beginning of your upkeep. This allows you to replay Omen of the Sea, Omen of the Hunt, or Warbriar Blessing for additional value.

Season of Growth provides additional filtering and draw off of your creatures and auras. Nessian Wanderer makes sure that you don’t end up short on land. Nexus Wardens are quality blockers and gain you life to ensure you win races.

I was successful against most aggro matchups with this deck. The most difficult matchups I had were against the Gates deck, since this deck doesn’t have a good way to block a huge Gate Colossus or Gatebreaker Ram. Against Gates, the best course of action is to try to race using Eutropia and Shimmerwing Chimera.

Enjoy!
