Maintenance Mindset vs. Completion Mindset

Completion Mindset is the idea that you should strive in life toward goals that you complete.

Maintenance Mindset is the idea that you should maintain a life that you would be happy with for an undetermined long term (maybe the rest of your life).

An example of completion mindset is striving to make a certain amount of money. People often find that even if they hit this kind of goal, their joy is short-lived. They find that they immediately want to have more money.

Maintenance mindset might be "I want to have a job that I enjoy that pays enough for me to live comfortably." It's a state you can maintain long term.
